Flaws.

I don't understand how people can blame others for their flaws. Is it because they think they know what's best? Or is it because we fail to read between the lines of who that person really is?

I must admit, that I do have flaws in myself. But having these flaws does not necessarily define me as a person. Flaws are what makes us imperfect and yes, in the past, present and future we have made or will make mistakes - but at the end of the day, do you really ask yourself, are the flaws in myself affecting another person's life? Should I try and better myself so that having these imperfections will protect my loved ones from getting hurt?

The answer is no. Without our flaws, our existence would be meaningless in the first place. We need our flaws so that we can have qualities in ourselves that we and other people like. We shouldn't be too critical about who we are because in the end, the only person that can define yourself is you.

You shouldn't let other people criticise yourself just because you have all these flaws. You are the only person that can judge that criteria. How are they any better if they can't look at themselves and admit their flaws too?

Nonetheless, we are only human and perfection will always be beyond our reach. Flaws are always going to be a part of who we are, but this shouldn't be the reason why we should dislike ourselves. I've learnt that it is important to realise that we should be thankful for the good qualities we have as people. We shouldn't let our flaws affect our own perception of ourselves.

Love who you are because at the end of the day, the way you treat yourself will affect how other people will treat you.
